About me
Mx. Terra Price (she/they) is Program Manager and co-writer of the curriculum for the after school enrichment club Level Up, provided to the community by the barrier breaking non-profit Spark Central via an MOU with Spokane Public Schools. Level Up club members of all ability levels, in grades 3rd-5th ,write and publish a newspaper, arts magazine, and summer guide for the Spokane Area. Terra's diverse educational background helped prepare them for leadership in such a multi-faceted program.
Terra received their AFA in Fine Arts from SFCC before enlisting in the army where they were top of their class in Nutrition Care. Terra then served at Madigan Army Medical Center while earning their BA in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. After graduating with their degree and being honorably discharged from the Army, they moved back to Spokane to work with historically underserved teens in in-patient rehabilitation facilities and later Child Protective Services. Inspired by this experience, specifically the lack of placements for behaviorally challenging youth, Terra became a therapeutic foster parent and later an adoptive parent. Terra’s final degree was an M.S. in Psychology with a focus on brief Solution Focused Therapy, many elements of which have informed or directly integrated into the Level Up Curriculum.
*MX. Terra would like to acknowledge and thank the students and interns who helped play-test and fine turn MX. Terra’s Magic Remote into a sharable improve/reset/behavior management game many can enjoy.
